Changes in measured endometrial thickness predict in vitro fertilization success Grant D.E. McWilliams, D.O., John L. FIGURE 1 Receiver–operator characteristic curves for implantation rates of patients undergoing IVF based on the endometrial lining thickness (EMT) and the change in EMT (ΔEMT) during the stimulation cycle. Endometrial measurements were taken at baseline before gonadotropin stimulation (EMTBaseline), on day 6 of gonadotropin stimulation (EMTDay6), and on the day of hCG administration (EMThCG). Calculations were also made based on the change in endometrial thickness from the EMTBaseline to EMTDay6 (ΔEMTDay6–Baseline), the change in endometrial thickness from the EMTDay6 to EMThCG (ΔEMThCG – Day 6), and the change in endometrial thickness from the EMTBaseline to EMThCG (ΔEMThCG – Baseline). The most significant measurements as determined by the area under the curve were the EMTDay6 and the ΔEMTDay6–Baseline. McWilliams. Endometrial thickness and IVF success. Fertil Steril 2007.
