The clinical therapeutic window for luteinizing hormone in controlled ovarian stimulation  Zeev Shoham, M.D.  Fertility and Sterility  Volume 77, Issue 6, Pages 1170-1177 (June 2002) DOI: 10.1016/S0015-0282(02)03157-6

FIGURE 1 Serum FSH and E2 levels and follicular development in patients with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism who were treated with increasing doses of r-FSH. Serum FSH levels increased gradually with the rising dose of FSH and follicles developed, but serum E2 concentrations remained low (modified from [28]). Shoham. Therapeutic window for LH. Fertil Steril 2002. Fertility and Sterility 2002 77, 1170-1177DOI: (10.1016/S0015-0282(02)03157-6)

FIGURE 2 Treatment protocol for comparison of r-FSH/placebo and r-FSH/r-hLH. Patients received treatment with GnRH agonists (Buserelin) from the second day of menstruation for 4 days. Treatment with r-FSH, 150 IU/day, was started on day 14 in pituitary down-regulated patients. The dose was increased according to patient responses. Randomization to either r-hLH or placebo took place when the leading follicle reached 14 mm in diameter. OPU=ovum pickup; ET=embryo transfer (modified from [38]). Shoham. Therapeutic window for LH.
