The wilderness After receiving the 10 Commandments – the Israelites continue to journey through the desert They are promised the land of Canaan Instructions are given for the building of a tabernacle A portable place of worship

The Tabernacle

The tabernacle Word means “sanctuary” Also means “tent of meeting” Was to include Ark of Covenant A throne for God to sit on Also included: A menorah – never to be extinguished A veil to separate “Holy of Holies”

The tabernacle Also included instructions for vestments of priests Shoulder band, robe, mitre ….. Also includes directions for the ordaining of priests Anointing and robing
