BLISS LIST

Do you know exactly what you want out of life? Do you ever stop to think about how many of these things you already have? This activity will help you figure out exactly what you want to be, do, or have in your life You may already have many of them – and now you can be grateful for them. If you discover that there are aspects of your life that are missing, you can now make plans to reach them.

Step One: What I Love Use the piece of paper provided. Make a list of everything that you love. I mean EVERYTHING! Record items right-side-up, upside down, sideways, cover ALL of the page by writing your list every which way… DO NOT STOP writing until you have at least 50 items on your list (but shoot for 100!) To begin, think about the 5 senses and go from there.

What smells do you love? What sounds? What do you love to taste? What textures feel good on your fingers? Write them down…

If you haven’t yet figured it out, Next, think of the things you love… such as puppies, cars, pens that glide, new socks, beach vacations, your cell phone… Anything that floats your boat… Now what about activities you love to do? Or favourite people? Even if it’s someone you’ve never met, but admire… How about places to visit? If you haven’t yet figured it out, JUST KEEP WRITING!

Does it look as though you have a minimum of 50?  GOOD 

THIS WILL BECOME YOUR “I WANT” LIST Step Two: I Want… Look carefully through your list… Circle every item on your list that you want but do not yet have in your life. THIS WILL BECOME YOUR “I WANT” LIST

Step Three: I Have… Now place a star or check mark beside all of the items on your list that you already have in your life. USE THIS LIST AS A REMINDER OF EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR

NOW WHAT? Add colour to your list by colour coding your “I wants” and your “I haves” When you are done, place the list at the front of your binder. Refer to it often if you feel you need a dose of motivation or appreciation. And always add new items when you think of them.
