What’s Happening This Week Mrs. Tin’s TK1 Newsletter Week of October 17th Language Arts: Introduce the story “La Tortuga” Vocab: in, on, around, and round Letter of the Week: Ff Math: Number of the Week: 7 Color: Yellow Shape: Circle Science: Continue learning about our 5 senses This week we will focus on smell Religion: God made Music! Know that songs and music can be a way of praying to God. Be proud of their musical abilities. THE GREAT SHAKEOUT This Thursday the school will be participating in The Great Shakeout. In class we will be reviewing the steps in keeping ourselves safe and how to quickly but safely exit the school. It is important that your review this worksheet with your child before Thursday and remind them this is only a practice drill. Thank you! Upcoming Events Halloween Candy – Student Council is asking for donations of one 11oz, or larger, bag of candy. Please do not send chocolate, gum, or candies that contain nuts. Halloween-O-Grams & Carnival Tickets – Sold before school for 25 cents! Tickets will be sold the day of the Carnival The Great Shakeout – Thursday, October 20th *Discuss the importance of having a plan at home if there were an earthquake* Red Ribbon Week – Starts Monday, October 24th (Please see flyer for information) Halloween Carnival – Thursday, October 27th - Friends and family are welcome to join our school carnival! 12 noon dismissal Halloween (No School) – Monday, October 31st What’s Happening This Week Monday: P.E.
