Regulatory Agencies FDA (Food and Drug Administration) To promote/protect public health by helping safe/effective products reach the market in a timely way. EMEA (European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products) To protect public health thru evaluation and supervision of medicines Other National Agencies (MHRA, IMB, ANVISA, etc.) To ensure medicines sold/supplied to other countries are safe, efficacious and meet required quality.
