We are a granting Foundation in the sense that we are autonomous in our budget and have a sustainable source of funding thanks to the endowment that the family as set aside for the use of the Foundation. We only grant the yearly profits of our investments. Furthermore as more and more actors we are concerned about how are investments fund our mission, and involved in impact investing. Compared to international standards we are a very modest foundation with a yearly budget of 13 milllions euros granted per year, half of which going to the subject of sustainable food systems. IMPACT INVESTING Budget : 15 m€ Sustainable Food fund (Quadia) Mission related opportunities (ex: Aquaspark) Generalist social business funds (ex: PhiTrust)

Our vision Sustainable food systems can be reached at 3 conditions : Shared vision of food systems as complex systems with interlinkages between environmental, social, nutritionnal, cultural etc. stakes Empowered territories and citizens to reach food democracy, and food justice Shift in practices from agroecology to sustainable and healthy diets We started our activities 6 years ago at a time where many actors where already in place on the issues at stakes within sustainable agriculture and food in France and internationally but not so many actors where interested in considering « sustainable food systems » as a subject. Sustainable food systems can be reached at 3 conditions : Shared vision of food systems as complex interlinkages between env, social, nutritionnal, cultural etc. stakes => work accross academic and policy silos, especially societal aspects often missing Empowering territories and citizens to reach food democracy, and food justice => Supporting the emergence of social enterprises (enabling envt but often status different, unclear, and funding by Foundations different ex. Fr/SP) Transitioning practices from agroecology to sustainable and healthy diets => Social organizations are to be rethoughts, economic models (logistics) and policy and regulatory incentives – work with actors FOOTNOTE
