Kitchens’ & Foreman’s Weekly News January 22-25, 2019   Please be sure you are reading each night for at least 35 minutes. Please check your child’s planner and folder nightly for important info. This newsletter and spelling lists are posted on the website. ELA​ We will continue our Unit on The People, the Presidents, and the Preamble. The students will read various texts about immigrants. We will also study MLK’s contributions. Skills: making predictions, main idea, inferencing, and opinion writing Math We will continue our study of fractions on a number line. Sumdog Contest ends Thursday evening. Please have your child working toward their 1,000 goal. Top 3 finishers with highest accuracy will be treated to a movie at Olive Branch Malco. Important Dates Sumdog contest- begins Jan. 18th at 8am and ends Jan 24th Jan. 21- No School for MLK day Feb 21- Immigration feast Feb 22- Immigration day (dress up) I will choose to GROW!
