Chapter 1 What Do You Think?

Have you ever thought at all about the question: Who is Jesus?

Do you think it’s an important question? Why or Why not?

Chapter 1 mentions some of the claims Jesus made about himself. Question # 2 Chapter 1 mentions some of the claims Jesus made about himself. “I and the Father are one” and “No one comes to the Father except through me,” For example: (John 10:30; 14:6) On a first reading, how do those claims strike you? What do you think Jesus is saying?

Do you have any preconceived notions about the Bible? Yes No Question # 3 Do you have any preconceived notions about the Bible? Yes No   What are they? Do any of the arguments in this first chapter challenge those preconceptions? How?
