Task 1 Myth of Europe Onřej Svída, Czech Republic

Myth of Europe Europa was a beautiful girl. Once she had a dream, two continent visited her. One was Asia and other one had no name. This was later named after Europa. When she woke up she went to the beach with her friends. Her beauty was spotted by Zeus and hefell in love with her.

Myth of Europe He took the form of a beautiful white bull and appeared in front of Europe. She climbed on his back, but then Zeus in the form of a bull jumped into the sea and he took her to Crete and there he made her his wife.

Coin 1. What is the name of this coin? Why? The name of the coin is Euro, because it is united currency of Europe named after princess Europe. 2. What is depicted on it? Why? On the coin is Europe on the bull. Because Europe is a figure from Greek mythology, after which Europe was named. 3. What country is it from? How did you notice it? It is from Greece, because there is Greek language on it.

Coin 4. Are you able to translate into your own language the two words written on the coin? On the top is EUROPA, and down is EURO. 5. Do you have the same currency in your country? Why? No, we don't, because we have Czech crowns.
