SB2 CMS Focus on identifying key resources and partners Combine the surveys with awareness activities Need to identify the strategy for the data entry and uploading Printing of maps to support the mapping component Target areas? Currently: Central, Guale, Makira, Western Additional sites?? Need to develop the protocols for the final rollout of the surveys. Need to get to the remote areas; Temotu, Shortlands, Choiseul, Tetepare. Training of new people? Who? How to select? Note to include MFMR. SINU. Researchers Separate group discuss the rollout

SB2 High School Awareness What is the larger program for the national high school awareness? 5 national high schools to conduct Why just Honiara? Utilize the World Environment Day, and opportunities to have this at the Provincial level – should target Gizo and Buala World Ranger Day – July 31st – utilize them for awareness Researcher awareness in schools – Sheridan to share awareness materials Need information on schools where we have already visited Churches and community halls

SB4 Conduct survey and mapping at project sites Continuation of work on LMMA sites Chubikopi Tetepare North-west Vonavona Seagrass mapping Priority would be mapping of the sites first to determine where to conduct monitoring – would be the priority at this stage Mapping would help to choose where to continue monitoring Vonavona – Alec to continue Need to provide good map to Tetepare – habitat mapping Need site profiles (all sites) – Tetepare, North-West Vonavona, Chubikopi Will give us a bit of comparison from 2004 surveys Kolombangara? Data in SW excel file – only mapping was walking with GPS tracking, perimeter info a good start Possibility of addition of new site – Marau – under MFMR
