You Need: Email: You'll get some important emails from your instructor at this address. Course ID: <MPGRAHAM01516> Access code or credit card: An access code card may be packaged with your new book or may be sold by itself at your bookstore. Otherwise, you can buy instant access with a credit card or PayPal account during registration. Note to presenter: This slide is 100% consistent with all Pearson web portals and should not be adjusted. If you haven’t already purchased your course materials you will need to do so today. To get started with Pearson MasteringAstronomy you will need a valid email address. It should be an email you have easy access to as you may receive important communication from your course instructor at this address. You also need the Course ID for the MasteringAstronomy course your instructor has assigned for the semester and the Course ID you will use to get started is _______. Please make note of this Course ID. You also need to have purchased access to MasteringAstronomy and you do this by purchasing an Access Code or buying instance access – let me explain this options in more detail. Get Started
Step 1 Go to www.masteringphysics.com and select Student under Register Now. Getting Started is easy! We’ll walk you through the process right now so that you can follow along with us or learn the steps so you can be familiar with the process after class. Step 1: Log onto MasteringAstronomy.com. Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button. Get Started
Step 2 Confirm you have the information needed, then select OK! Register now. Getting Started is easy! Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button. Get Started
Step 3 Enter your instructor’s Course ID and choose Continue. Getting Started is easy! Step 4 Enter your existing Pearson account username and password and select Sign in. You have an account if you have ever used a Pearson MyLab & Mastering product, such as MyMathLab, MyITLab, MySpanishLab, or MasteringChemistry. If you don’t have an account, select Create and complete the required fields. Getting Started is easy! Step 5 Select an access option. Enter the access code that came with your textbook or was purchased separately from the bookstore. Buy access using a credit card or PayPal account. Step 6 From the “You’re Done!” page, select Go to My Courses. Getting Started is easy! Step 7 Select Yes and enter your Course ID to join your course. Click Continue. Getting Started is easy! Step 8 If asked, enter your Student ID according to the instructions provided and click Continue. That’s it! You should see the Course Home page for the course. Getting Started is easy!
