History Christian Huygens saw Saturn in 1659 with a telescope. It got it’s name by Roman Mythology.

Solar System Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. The distance is from the sun is 888,615,000 miles away. The rotation is 66 hours.

Moons There are 53 official moons and 9 unofficial moons which means there are 62 moons in total. There are 2 moons that have names: Titan and Tethys.

Planet appearance Saturn is a gas giant or a gas planet. Very yellow and is very big. It is the second largest planet in the solar system. This photo was taken from space.
