Attention All Upcoming Third Graders! Let’s start off the year on the right note! No matter your teacher, below are additional items we’re requesting from third graders in order to help us soar to reach our potential this school year. Novel Studies During the year, we will be completing four different novel studies (one per quarter). We encourage all students to have their own copies of each of the novels. This inspires note taking and text marking, which are huge parts of our Florida Standards. The names of the novels are: *Please plan to have a copy of Sarah Plain and Tall in class by Friday, August 17th, at the latest. Quarter Novel Quarter 1 Sarah Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan* Quarter 2 Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo Quarter 3 The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davis Quarter 4 Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume
