This is my 5th year in 5th grade and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! Mrs. Acker A Little About Me! I grew up right here in Orange, so I know what a special community it is. I have two daughters- Madison, 5 and Aubrey, 1 ½, Our miniature poodle, Duke, is 8! I love to spend time with my family, read, and go to the beach or for a hike. I also love to refinish old furniture and create new dishes in my kitchen! My Favorites! Food: Anything Italian Movie: “When Harry Met Sally” and Moana! Book: There are WAY too many to list! Color: Pink and Red Drink: Coffee! Season: Fall Sports: Baseball and Hockey Hobby: Hiking Subject: Reading Store: Target Dessert: Chocolate. Anything chocolate! Restaurant: The Cuckoos Nest Flower: Hydrangeas or Sunflowers- changes all the time! My education! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, minoring in Psychology from Southern. I have a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Southern, as well. I am a Google Certified Educator and use technology in the classroom whenever I can.
