Day 5: WB Yeats and Villanelle Poetry

Poet Focus WB Yeats

Villanelle Strict form introduced by French poet Jean Passerat in the late 16th century Stanzas 1-5: 3 lines each Stanza 6: 4 lines First and last line of the first stanza take turns repeating as the final line of the next 4 stanzas, and form the final 2 lines of the 6th stanza
