SWIRE PURPOSE Plan, design, acquire, purchase and implement infrastructure for public safety communications statewide.

SWIRE Rationale Obsolete and end-of-life radio communications infrastructure is in need of replacement and enhancement.

SWIRE Objective Remove, replace and enhance radio communications infrastructure at locations throughout the state.

SWIRE Budget $5 million appropriated by Laws of 2014, Ch. 66, Sec. 22 (2) $4.2 million appropriated by Laws of 2015, Ch. 3, Secs. 26, 71 $5 million appropriated by Laws of 2016, Ch. 82, Sec. 10
