Multicast for 802.15.4 – Short address mode January 2004 Multicast for 802.15.4 – Short address mode Short addresses from 0xfff0 to 0xfffd inclusive will be reserved for multicast. Messages with destination PANid matching macPANId and destination short address matching a multicast address will pass the address filter test and be passed to the next higher layer for processing.
