The Training Alternate (TA) SOLUTION The Training Alternate (TA) Coop/Imanitraining sessions to learn about the RA role and responsibilities. Throughout training, each TA will be paired with a residence hall staff, and will be trained just like our RAs. They will also help with August move-in days, check-ins/check-outs, programming and many other tasks. Our TA candidates are the first we select from if we have a vacancy in a residence hall. Training Alternates are in our applicant pool until the following year when our selection process begins.
How do we select? Returner process challenges any RA with at least one semester of experience to be able to complete an interview of some form. Rising 2nd years - video interviewing platform Rising 3rd years - 15 minute presentation Aspiring Assistant Hall Directors - 1 hour presentation/interview The process of the double purples All new hires (applicants) will be selected after returners have been assigned to staffs. This allows us to know what qualities and skills are still necessary to form our staffs. Imani
