National Weather Service Missouri Basin River Forecast Center

Backbone of our Operations National Weather Service Missouri Basin River Forecast Center Backbone of our Operations Delft-FEWS is an open data handling platform initially developed as a flood forecasting and warning system. Essentially it is a sophisticated collection of modules designed for building a hydrological forecasting system.

Break-down of our river forecast model

What we do near-term river forecasts (next 5-days) long-range river outlooks (next 3 months) reservoir inflow forecasts (next 5 days....or longer as requested) water supply forecasts (water year, thru September) spring flood outlooks (through early Summer) flash flood guidance (for next 1-hour, 3-hour, 6-hour) gridded precipitation estimates (24-hour totals)

other River Forecast Center products

Data we use

State, Regional and Federal Coordination
