Summer School Summer School –Program Objectives: Credit Recovery - Graduation Requirements Grade Replacement - College Prep Courses Credit Advancement SS –Course Offerings: Two Locations: Bear Creek & Tokay H.S Approx. 15 courses / 40 sections 24 Instructional days Est. Enrollment: 1,300 students Staff: Approx. 40 Credential Teachers 2 RSP Teachers 6 P/T counselors 2 Site Administrators 7 Classified Support Staff 4 Registrars 1 District Coordinator Approx. Cost: $450,000

LUSD Summer Learning Programs: APEX Summer Academy APEX Summer Academy–Program Objectives: Credit Recovery - Graduation Requirements Grade Replacement - College Prep Courses APEX–Course Offerings: Two Locations: Bear Creek & Tokay H.S APEX Learning Course List: 24 Instructional days Enrollment: 200 students Staff: Approx. 4 Credential Teachers 2 P/T counselors 1 District Coordinator Approx. Cost: $ 35,000

LUSD Summer Learning Programs: Elevate Math Elevate Math– Program Objectives: Elevate Math will redirect rising 6th – 9th grades students performing at “nearly meeting standard” back to a college and career bound pathway. Elevate Math Program Description: Two Locations: Bear Creek & Tokay H.S High School Students: 24 Instructional days Middle School Students: 19 Instructional days 24 hrs. of staff development & program training Intervention “Common Core” Curriculum Enrollment: 480 – 600 students Staff: Approx. 16 – 20 Credential Teachers 1 District Coordinator Approx. Cost: $ 240,000 – $300,000

LUSD Summer Learning Programs: Summer Intercession Summer Intercession: K – 8: Sites with designated Title-I /or SAS funding will be hosting a Summer Intercession designed to support students in need of mastering grade level standards in reading and math. Intercession Description: Duration: 2 weeks / 3hrs. Per day 10 -15 students per teacher Enrollment: 40 – 80 students Staff: Approx. 4 – 6 Credential Teachers School Principal /or Teacher Lead Approx. Cost: $ 5,600 – $8,200 per site.
