Habitats – Field Trip Debrief

Habitats – Field Trip Debrief WALT: Describe a habitat of one plant and one animal in detail – including daily and seasonal adaptations

Think back to your field trip – open your booklets What were the 3 habitats we studied? Let’s brainstorm facts you learnt

What were the three habitats of Elsamere? Aquatic Woodland Grassland

Imagine there was 2 exam questions. How would we answer them? “Describe how you would estimate the number of spear grass plants in a plot of grassland” (4 marks). “State one physical factor of the habitat and how you could measure it” (2 marks)

For both one plant and one animal, discuss in pairs: The habitat it lives in How it is adapted for that habitat How it is adapted for daily changes in environment How it is adapted for seasonal changes in environment
