KAMS Cheer Parent Meeting 2018-2019

Represent KAMS Remember, it is a privilege to represent your school through extracurricular activities Exceptional behavior is expected at all times during practice and at school Passing grades are required to participate in practice and games D’s = practice only NO games F’s = NO practice or games

Uniforms – Shell and skirt provided Game Attire Shell, skirt and bow Black/navy bloomers White “no show” socks White athletic shoes Parents/guardians responsible for buying bloomers, socks, bows, poms and shoes   Cheer Wear Long sleeve T-shirts $24 Sweatpants $36 Sweatshirts $30 Bows $15 Poms $15 Must be ordered through the AZ All-Stars website Order first 4 items receive a FREE cinch sack

Game Days We attend all HOME basketball games(5) Game days are Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays Game Day Attire (at school): cheer uniform or spirit wear Students must be at practice the morning of games and in school to participate in games

Practice & Game Schedule Practices: Monday-Thursday 7:00 – 8:15 AM (NO AM practice on AZ All-Star Days) Home Games: Monday, December 3rd @5:00/6:00 Wednesday, December 12th @4:30/5:30 Wednesday, January 9th @4:30/5:30 Monday, January 14th @5:00/6:00 Wednesday, January 23rd @4:30/5:30

Practice Morning practices will be in the gym or MPR Cheerleaders should arrive at KAMS by 6:55 AM so we can promptly start at 7:00 AM Unexcused absences or being late to practices/games will result in loss of game time cheering Gym shoes, shorts, t-shirts and/or sweats should be worn at practice. NO jeans or jewelry!! KAMS dress code applies at practice!

AZ ALL-stars $40.00 per student Tax Credit available We need volunteers to help transport students to AZ ALL-STARS Dates: TBA Most likely looking at Wednesdays

Kyrene District Cheer Showcase Wednesday, January 30, 2019 Desert Vista High School 5:00 PM Bus will transport girls to DVHS, but will NOT bring back to KAMS

Donations Needed We need concession stand donations for our home games. Popular items include water bottles, Gatorade, small bags of chips, snacks, etc… All money made goes towards our end of season banquet

Banquet Thursday, February 1st at 5:30 PM Catered from Oregano’s Fabulous celebration and food!
