Figure 1 The percentage changes in serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels after postoperative cystectomy according to the type of cyst and presence or absence of normal ovarian tissue within the cyst wall. Women underwent a unilateral cystectomy for endometrioma, which showed a significant decrease in postoperative serum AMH levels than in control women with benign cysts (∗P=.02, Student’s t-test). In women with endometrioma, the percentage change in serum AMH levels was significantly larger in women with a cyst wall containing normal ovarian tissue compared with that of women containing similar cysts without normal ovarian tissue (∗∗P=.01, Mann-Whitney U test). No significant difference between preoperative and postoperative serum AMH levels was observed in control women having these two types of cysts.
