English 2 - May 23rd Agenda: Grade Check and Reflection Begin Comparative Project Form Groups Proposals Exit Ticket You Will Need Writing paper Writing implement Computer

Grade Check Reflection Are you happy with your grade right now? Why or why not? Are there any grades that surprised you? Why or why not? What is your plan to improve or maintain your grade for the end of the year?

Comparative Unit Purpose: Deepen understanding of two of the works we have studied. Demonstrate deep understanding of skills learned this year. Outcome: Creative presentation making a connection between two works we have read this year and exploring larger ideas.

Comparative Project Groups of 2-4 (video extras do not count as group members) Everyone in the group must have a major speaking role during the presentation Your presentation should be creative and entertaining, but it also must present the information required by the handout.

Homework Bring whatever you need to spend an hour working productively on your project. If your group is not working for the full time allowed on Wednesday, you will lose points on the final project.

Exit Ticket What are at least two current events that interest you? School issues, social issues, global events, etc.
