Royal proclamation 1763 One – Sun “You can’t move west of the Appalachian Mountains….to make sure you don’t I am going to send soldiers to be sure you DON’T!”

Sugar act 1764 Two-Shoe – “You have to pay taxes on molasses, coffee, cloth and sugar!”

Quartering act 1765 Three – Tree “My soildiers can live in your houses and you have to feed them!”

Stamp act 1765 Four – Door “”I need help paying for the French and Indian War so I am going to place a tax on newspapers, birth certificates, and playing cards!”

Townshend act Five-Hive English people need lower taxes so colonists must pay more! So up went the taxes on tea, glass, paper and lead. Colonists said “NOT A CHANCE!” and began boycotting British goods. Charles Townshend
