Let’s read Chapter 3 (up to page 57).

Questions to Consider Why is James quiet at breakfast that morning? Look at page 52/32. Record two ways in which James thinks children are like ghosts.

Questions to Consider What clues does Lively give us to show that the ghost is from a different (older) time? Consider what he says and how he says it.

TASK James keeps a personal journal about each days events. Pretend you are James. Write in your personal journal about how you feel about what happened today.
