SATS 2018 A new national curriculum was introduced in 2014. As a result, the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) is changing the tests so that they assess the new curriculum. Pupils were required to take these new SATs tests in May 2016 for the first time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVlrdqh_J6Y
KS1 Assessment arrangements Towards the end of Year 2, children will take SATs in: Reading Maths Spelling, punctuation and grammar SATs have to be carried out during May but there are no set dates nationally – this will be a school decision Aiming for week beginning 14th May 2018
Reporting to parents We will report the pupil’s scores in the SATs tests and whether or not your child has met the national standard. You will receive this final data report at the end of July.
How to help: Ensure that they have plenty of rest Support at home with homework, reading, spellings, times tables Liaise with school if you have any issues/concerns at any point Reassure your child that we want them to do their best but there is nothing to worry about!
