BE ready to go outside on Thursday for Earth Day. Saturday, February 23, 2019 Objective: YWBAT explain transverse and longitudinal waves and understand the components of each. Drill: Draw a transverse wave and label the parts. Homework BE ready to go outside on Thursday for Earth Day.

Answer

Did you know…? Albert Einstein, perhaps the world’s most famous scientist, proposed that electromagnetic radiation could be viewed as a stream of particles, rather than as a wave of energy. He called these particles photons. In fact, Einstein proposed that energy has mass and that an electromagnetic wave can be viewed as a stream of particles that have mass. Experiments have proved that Einstein was right.

Today’s Activities Drill Waves WOW #1-10 Quiz Longitudinal and Transverse Waves - particles Conclusion

How do mechanical waves differ from electromagnetic waves? Conclusion How do mechanical waves differ from electromagnetic waves?

Conclusion Answer Mechanical waves require a medium to travel while electromagnetic waves do not.
