Why do we care? What is it? Chemistry How does it involve agriculture?

What is Chemistry? The study of the composition of matter and the changes matter undergoes. AKA: The study of stuff Matter: anything that has mass and occupies space https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlRhLicNo8Q

What does it involve? EVERYTHING! It explains how a fabric can be stretchy! It’s why some foods taste bitter and others taste sweet EVERYTHING! Because all living and nonliving things are made of matter, chemistry affects all aspects of life and most natural events. It explains how fire works! It explains why there are different shampoos for dry or oily hair

Different factions of Chemistry Physical Chemistry Organic Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry Biochemistry

Chemistry in Agriculture Today’s Topics: Water Soil Pesticides Herbicides Organic Farming Biotechnology Nutrients for Cattle Fertilizer General Topics Animal Science Plant Science Ecology/Environmental Science Soil Science

Your Task: Read the article that is assigned on Ag Chem on my website. Create a beautiful poster summarizing the article. Give at least 5 facts Include at least 1 picture or graphic Present your findings to the class! You have 20 minutes! Questions?
