Fence disrepair or unapproved fence installation One warning letter with 90 days to repair. $50.00 fine that renews every 90 days. Landscaping encroaching on sidewalks and visibility on corners: $50.00 fine renews monthly. After three months, work to be completed by professional landscape company and billed back to owner. Board will use the city standards for corner lots and will create a standard regarding lawns, shrubs, and overgrown flower beds. Lawn, shrubs, flowerbeds do not meet community standards: $50.00 fine renews monthly. After three months, work to be completed by professional landscape company and billed back to owner. Paint on house not approved color: $500 fine, renews annually (corrections may be limited to painting season) Unapproved modifications and additions to structures or the lot: $500 fine, renews annually (because corrections may be limited to construction/painting season) RV and trailer stored beyond fence (longer the 24 hours): $50.00 fine renews monthly Inoperable vehicle storage (longer than 14 days): $50.00 fine renews monthly
All of 2013 requests for non-compliance corrections were adhered to. Neighbors prefer compliance over fines. Good for aesthetics and home values.

Board has hired engineering firm for writing specifications, working with county and city permit offices and overseeing the contractor. Board will help when expertise allows to help keep down costs for engineering firm Work will start in early 2014 Perimeter Sidewalks

Sidewalks are estimated by engineering firm at $100,000, or $303 per lot Working closely with NW Tree Specialist, the arborist that the HFVOA uses Engineer to create apple to apples comparisons and oversee work is done according to contract Will grind where possible to save money
Once a contractor has been picked, the HFVOA board will host a special meeting to discuss the specifics of the contract available and answers any new questions that arise.
