Homepage Logo/Image Title of website Image Eight button navigation bar Text content So for my whole website design I decided that what I am going to do is produce a template on Dreamweaver and then make 1 house style that will be consistently used throughout my website. To do this I am going to open a Dreamweaver document and select a background colour, then I am going to make a banner on Fireworks CS5 which will include both logo’s (school logo, pre-school logo, etc) and the title of the web page. Once this is produced to a standard that I am happy with I will then export the image from CS5 and import it into my Dreamweaver document. The next thing I am going to do after that is produce a navigation bar to go into my project. To do this I will use Fireworks again to produce an 8 button navigation bar, once this has been made, again I will export it from fireworks and import it into my Dreamweaver document, I will then link the individual buttons to each of my Dreamweaver pages so it works just as its supposed to. And the final element that I am going to put into my template is a Google search bar, to do this I will simply use some coding that the school has provided for me then I will select the coding option on my page and paste the text into that area and then I will have a Google search bar on my template. Once all of that has been done, I will save it as a template then produce all my other pages ‘from template’ meaning I will start all my pages with this standardized set up but then the content in the pages themselves will be different and appropriate for the page itself. CSS styles: For the background of every one of my pages I will use a light shade of blue, this is because that is the colour that the client has asked for and it is associated with the pre-school Any text that is used in a title will be made dark blue, this is because that is the main colour associated with Durweston school and it is also the colour of the uniform that the pre-school kids will wear All the text content that’s in my pages will use the same text font and size. I will set up a CSS style that is ‘Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif’ for the font and the text size will be ‘24’ for all the text, this is because that font is effective when I tested it in a word document and my client said that it was a font that they would like to be used throughout the web pages, the reason I have chosen that size in particular is because it is big enough for everyone to read but not so big that it takes up massive amounts of room on the page All the images that I have used will be sourced on a separate document Google search bar: Jordan McKinley - Nichols
