Install The Crypto-Sign PDA-Protect™ Software

The PDA-Protect icon appears here after installation and a soft reset.

Enable Crypto-Sign. Choose time period for sign prompt. Set initial action for 3 fails Start registration

Write your normal signature with inking. Re-Sign until satisfied

Choose a secure sign Practice on paper Enter it in the box. There will be no inking as you write.

This is an example of one type of sign that might be chosen

Enter your secret sign again

And again. The registration process will continue to ask for the sign until it is satisfied it has captured a compatible set for the purpses of registration

Success! The registration program sets up the authentic signature to be released to transactions in future versions of the Crypto-Sign software. The secret sign is used in PDA-Protect to unlock the device at power-up.

Use the Verify button to practice your sign until you are comfortable with the process.

Comfortable? Now choose a case sensitive password with a minimum 8 characters. You will need to enter it at your workstation at the first ActiveSync. If you check “remember password” on the workstation you will not need to enter the password again.

If you forget your password you can always change it . Because you enter your secret sign to do this the old password is automatically entered. This means you never have to remember it

Crypto-Sign Protection Is Enabled At The Next Power Up After “Set Password”

In case of loss, it is a good idea to bring this screen up first. Tap the screen to move on

Now all you have to do is enter your sign at each power up to have the protection of a case sensitive password with at least 8 characters. No Entering! No Remembering! Easy To change!
