KHMS P.R.I.D.E. SIDE

What is P.R.I.D.E. Side? Positive Incentive Program Based On Academics And Citizenship Come to the... P.   Positivity R.   Respect I.    Integrity D.  Dignity E.   Excellence                            ...side!

How Does P.R.I.D.E. Side Work? Pride Side stands for Pride, Respect, Integrity, Dignity, and Excellence; a program we have here at KH that rewards our students for their positive contributions to our building each quarter. This also allows our educators to leave behavior out of grades, so student’s grades reflect learning.

How Does P.R.I.D.E. Side Work? An accumulative total of 700 out of a possible 800 points is needed in order to achieve Pride Side each of the four quarters. A cut-off date is chosen and posted on our web page, which informs staff and students of when students’ grades and missing assignments are due. Morning and afternoon announcements are made a week prior to the cut-off date as a reminder for students to get their grades up and missing assignments turned in.

How Does P.R.I.D.E. Side Work? The day after the cut-off date, the school registrar runs reports and enters each student’s grades, missing assignments, tardies, and referrals. Once the information is entered and point sheets are printed, they are then passed out to the students 9th hour to be taken home to their parents for a signature.

How Does P.R.I.D.E. Side Work? Students do have a chance to earn 20 bonus points by bringing their point sheets back with a parent signature the following day after they are handed out. For those students that are on the cusp of making Pride Side, this is a great opportunity to boost their points! Bonus points will not be given to students who bring their sheets back signed any later than the following day they are handed out (unless they are absent).

WHY BE IN P.R.I.D.E. SIDE? Earn 700 points in any quarter and receive rewards! Front of Lunch Line, Outside Lunch (when possible) T-Shirt (one per student) Quarterly Incentives–SURVEY! -On the next page

SURVEY! What are some activities from the past that you enjoyed? What are some activities form the past that you do not want to have again? What kinds of activities do you suggest? What kind of treats would you like? Get your class’s survey answers to Mrs. Nonhof!
