CAST Field Test: Basic Facts The field test becomes available on April 2, 2018. LEA-selected testing window must be open. Field test closes when LEA selected testing window closes. Each form will have 32–45 discrete items and 2–3 performance tasks. The field test should take approximately two hours to complete. California Department of Education
Test Administrator and Student Surveys Test Administrator Survey: Consists of 7–10 questions, taking approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. Must be completed before July 16, 2018. Student Survey: One question—“Do you think you will be enrolling in any more science classes in high school?” California Department of Education
