Drifting Along Hebrews 2:1-3

The Great Salvation What Makes It So Great? The love of God It is beyond our comprehension It is a great love (1 Jn. 3:1) The grace and mercy of God He is rich in grace (Eph. 2:7) He is rich in mercy (Eph. 2:4)

The sacrifice of His Son He died for us (Rom. 5:8) The greatest love (Jn. 15:13) The plan of salvation There is one (Rom. 6:17) Like those at Corinth (Acts 18:8) The hope of heaven Do be careful (Heb. 10:35) Our hope is eternal life (Titus 1:2)

Drifting Is The Beginning Can be unintentional, unnoticed Gradually takes hold & becomes serious Then - - “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Heb. 2:3) How about not letting it begin? “…pay much more closer attention to what we have heard…” (Heb. 2:1) Some are surprised when realizing their faith is gone

Escape From What? Judgment to come (2 Peter 3:10) Cannot hide or deflect personal accountability (2 Cor. 5:10) A point of no return (Heb. 10:22-31)
