Created by God, (chosen, adopted, redeemed) Paul prays that we will realize our new identity… Our identity – Created by God, (chosen, adopted, redeemed) NOW: core issue - our condition that led to the need for redemption Once we truly grasp human depravity, only then will we see the glory of the grace of God

But God…

Grace: 1. You can’t earn it. Eph.2:8 “…not of yourselves; it is the gift of God...” 2. It costs the giver Ch.1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” Grace is something that costs the one who receives it nothing, but costs the one who gives it everything. 3. It must be acted upon in faith

How is grace shown to us? Brought from death to life We are raised spiritually Brought from slavery to freedom & honour God has seated us in the place of authority over all things in union with Christ. Though we have no power against Satan of ourselves, we have unchallengeable authority by virtue of our union with The Supreme Authority of the universe

From condemnation to salvation Salvation is complete for the believer Salvation is a gift of God’s grace Salvation is received by faith Salvation bears fruit in the life of the believer
