Lucid Dreaming Is Beneficial To Our Lives! By Amber Pyeatt

What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid dreaming, (aka) Lucidity, is defined as consciousness during sleep, in which the dreamer realizes he or she is dreaming. Sleepers are somehow no longer in a total unconscious state but can still continue to dream. They are aware that they are dreaming but can control their surroundings and even satisfy all of their wildest fantasies.

Lucidity Has Endless Potentials! Salvador Dali created the painting – Persistence of Memory from lucidity. Elias Howe – Invented the sewing machine. He had a lucid dream and resolved an engineering problem. Christopher Nolan was inspired by his lucid dreams when he directed the movie, Inception. Edgar Allen Poe’s Poetry.

Lucid Dreaming Can Cure PTSD! Suicidal 39 year old male was diagnosed with depression, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and alcohol dependency. He had re- occurring nightmares associated with his PSTD. This man had very traumatic events in his life and he could not sleep because of them. His treatment was to read a Wikipedia article on lucid dreaming then to practice lucidity (Lucid Dreaming). Sixteen days later he discharged himself and no longer had the re- occurring nightmares from his PTSD.

Lucid Dreaming Can Improve… Confidence: You can practice public speaking abilities, Rehearse any imaginable situation from business to sports to relationships. Creativity: Tap into your unknown creative side by visiting the gallery of art or music your unconscious mind has already painted or composed for you but still from you! Problem solving skills: Elias Howe resolved an engineering problem with the sewing machine and became the first successful inventor of it.

Other Ways Lucid dreaming is Beneficial to Our Lives! Practice New Skills: Practice martial arts while in lucidity. A surgeon testified he would practice his surgery in lucid dreams so the next day he refined and polished his techniques. Face your fears without danger: Be able to fly on an airplane to help you conquer your fear of flying without the real danger. Explore alternate realities: Travel in time, Fly over the mesmerizing Grand Canyon, Breath while under water, Drop from a helicopter and snowboard down the mountain of your choice! Whatever your heart desires.
