What is a thesis statement? It’s the single, specific claim that your essay or project supports. A strong thesis statement is NOT simply an observation, a question, or a promise. A strong thesis statement includes a TOPIC A PRECISE OPINION and REASONING *For History Day, your thesis statement should also include the words “exploration” and/or “encounter” and/or “exchange” if possible.
