Money Idioms When something is very expensive… we often say: “It will cost you an ___________ and a ____________”

Money Idioms When something is very expensive… we often say: “It will cost you an arm and a leg” (meaning, it’s so expensive, you’ll have to make a sacrifice )

Money Idioms (it’s usually not complimentary or included in a service) When you have to pay for something with your own money, (it’s usually not complimentary or included in a service) We say, “You have to p_____ out of your own p_______”

Money Idioms We say, “You have to pay out of pocket” When you have to pay for something with your own money, (it’s usually not complimentary or included in a service) We say, “You have to pay out of pocket” ex: When he went to the hospital, he thought his insurance plan would cover the expenses, but they didn’t and he had to pay out of pocket.
