Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question What do I do if I think I am getting a text message? Answer Before /After School: Check it out. During passing/lunch: Check it out. In Class: leave it alone until class is over. In Restroom or locker room: you may not use your phone

Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question What should I do if my phone makes a sound during class? Answer Always keep your phone on silent during the day. Apologize to the teacher for the disruption. Be prepared to have phone taken or lose privilege if this causes a major disruption or if it becomes a pattern.

Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question What would happen if I get sent to the office for a cell phone violation? Answer The office will keep the device for the remainder of the day. Other consequences may occur for reoccurring violations.

Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question Who is responsible for the safety and security of digital devices brought to school? Answer Students are responsible for all digital devices brought to school. Keep devices secured and in personal possession. Do not share, do not leave on desk, do not let friends use device. Follow digital use expectations while at school.

Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question What would happen if I lose my device or think my device is stolen? Answer Make sure you did not leave it in your locker, back pack or at home. Report this to your teacher and to the office. Office will notify you if your device is found or turned in. Theft will result in suspension. Students parent may file police report.

Q UESTIONS AND A NSWERS Question Why cant I take pictures or videos at school? Why cant I use my digital devices in the restroom or locker rooms? Answer If this is part of a school project, with teacher permission, and if the video is appropriate then it is okay. School is a closed and secured environment where taking pictures and videos without school adult permission and supervision is not acceptable. Students may not use their digital devices in the restrooms or locker rooms due to privacy issues.

R EMINDERS Using digital devices in hallway during passing time can be distracting. Manage your time well to avoid being tardy or loss of privileges. Be caring and principled in conversations on cell phones. Use of digital devices is a privilege that can be taken away if the privilege is abused.
