Project “BG-RO E-GoverNet - Development of an information network to ease the cooperation between public authorities and NGOs in the cross-border region Bulgaria-Romania” INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme 2014-2020 Project presentation, October 2018, Brussels Iliana Draganova, BSC SME – Ruse, Bulgaria

Implementation period: 20 April 2017 - 19 April 2019 (24 months) Beneficiaries: Business Support Centre for Small and Medium Enterprises – Ruse, BG (LB) and Eastern Danube Convention &Visitors Bureau Association, ED CVB, Giurgiu, RO (B2) Total budget: 366 816,47 EUR Project main objective – to foster long-term cooperation among public authorities by establishing an efficient and effective innovative tool for better coordination among public and private stakeholders at cross-border level, an adequate means of communication and encourage e-governance.

Main project activities Study and analysis of the current situation of electronic services offered by local administration in the CBA Territorial administrations in Bulgaria and Romania still lack a complete complex administrative service that meets modern European standards.

Main project activities Cross-border Strategy for Public E-services in CBA RO-BG STRATEGIC GOALS Strategic goal 1 To ensure conditions for quality public administration services so as to facilitate the convergence of the regions in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area and use the common development potential Strategic goal 2 To develop the Bulgaria-Romania cross-border area administration capacity of delivering services to citizens and businesses from the neighbouring country Strategic goal 3 To improve the communication and interaction between the administrations in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area

Main project activities Information Exchange Platform An online platform in three languages (Bulgarian, Romanian and English) was developed for the exchange of information between local administrations in the cross-border region Bulgaria - Romania which is in favor of businesses and citizens. The platform presents information on e-services provided by public authorities in Bulgaria and Romania in a short and structured way. It is easy to navigate and quickly accessible on any device. Platform information can be updated at any time, if a municipality or district administration introduces a new e-service. www.e-gover.net

Main project activities BG-RO E-GoverNet Network Close cooperation with representatives of the public authorities to improve their services, cooperation and coordination – exchange of good practices, work on common initiatives and projects Signing of specific cooperation agreements with district administrations, municipalities, county councils and NGOs in the CBA The Network is established as an informal cross-border cluster, which will also invite constantly new members to join even after the end of the project, thus enlarging the size of the potential beneficiaries from the project results and outputs.
