The DBQ How to get your points: 1 = acceptable thesis 1= using all documents and understand all of them 2 = Appropriate evidence from all used 1 = Point of View 1 = analytic grouping of documents (AS MANY AS POSSIBLE!!!) 1 = identifies the need for an additional document 2 more points because the reader loves you

Content Take really good notes!!! Vocab is key All of the parts are equal weight All periods will appear on the test The multiple choice section has 70 Questions There are NO TRICKS!!!!

The Thesis statement MUST be in the first paragraph Worth 1 point IF you don’t have one, your whole essay will be bad. This goes for all of the essays!!

The DBQ 8 - 12 source documents NO QUOTES – waste of time Skills based Good thesis Use ALL of the Documents Try to keep it to 3 pages. ALL ESSAYS EQUAL THE SAME AMOUNT!!!!
