Quickwrite When we think of disasters we often think of natural disasters (hurricanes, volcanoes, etc), but what do you think a “man-made” disaster could be? Try to think of as many as possible. Do you think a man-made disaster is more or less catastrophic (damaging) than a natural disaster? Why?

The RMS Titanic A British passenger liner that struck an iceberg and sunk in the Atlantic Ocean on April 12, 1912. Of the 2,225 (approximately) passengers, over 1500 died. Considered one of the worst peacetime maritime disasters.
