Republic A form of government in which the citizens elect a representatives to make all the government decisions. The people vote on their ruler.
Consul One of two chief officials who held power in the Ancient Rome Republic and controlled the army. 2 people in charge of the government. Like having 2 presidents.
Dictator A person who had total control over the people A King
Senate A governing body in which ancient Roman representatives served. A group of people looking out for the needs of the Roman citizens
Plebeian A farmer, worker, merchant, or craft worker. A common citizen The poorer Romans.
Patrician A noble or rich Roman Most of the wealthy Roman Citizens
Pax Romana Roman Peace. A time when Rome was prosperous and peaceful Just like the Golden Age. A time of Peace.
Aqueduct A system of bridges and canals that carry water from place to place. A structure used to bring water to different areas.
Roman Forum A market place that became a place for politics, and public and private business. The Center of life in Rome. Place where people gossiped, shopped and talked politics
