The rule of third is a really basic tool that most people who study photography will know about. The rule of third is like imagining breaking up a photo into thirds, both horizontally and vertically so you have 9 parts altogether. Within the top row of pictures the beach like ones show the horizontal lines in the sea and the sand, it makes the photo really calming and makes you really focus on what is taking place in the picture .The second pictures shows you the different ways the horizontal lines can go.
