Algebra 2 Ch.3 Notes Page 15 P15 3-2 Solving Systems Algebraically
Solving Systems A system of Equations is a set of two or more equations that use the same variables. The solution is the (x, y) that works in both (all) of the equations.
Use Substitution to find x and y. y = x + 3 y = -x + 1
x + 3y = 12 and -2x + 4y = 9
-2x + 5y = -2 and x - 3y = 3
Solving Systems by Elimination x + -3y = 11 4x + 3y = 14
Solving Systems by Elimination x + 3y = 12 -2x + 4y = 9
Solving Systems by Elimination 3x + 7y = 15 5x + 2y = -4
Special Problems 3x - y = 3 -4x + 2y = 8 -3x + y = -3 4x - 2y = 12
