CRANK Character OVERVIEW

KRISTINA AGE: 16 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Young, fair-skinned, light brown hair, thin and innocent looking. She is relatively pretty. PERSONALITY: She is a straight A student, quiet and reserved. She strives to be the “perfect daughter” and good girl. However, she feels isolated and alone and lost. She has never had a boyfriend or even been kissed. She is looking for answers to the questions such as: Am I lovable? Who is my father? Who am I? We get the impression she is deeply unhappy though she hides it well.

BREE AGE: 16 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This girl IS Kristina so looks just like her, but with more of an edge. She is thinner and wears more provocative clothing. Her eyes shine with the monster constantly. PERSONALITY: This is Kristina’s alter ego or “bad-girl” side. When Kristina does meth or wants to be someone else, she transforms into this girl. Bree is wild, sexually active, flirtatious, bold, and careless. She doesn’t think– she just ACTS. She wants to feel good and do what she wants… so she does. Bree has a highly addictive personality and loves to get high. She also likes playing with guys and is more interested in sex than love.

ADAM AGE: 17 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Handsome in a “bad-boy” way. He has a tanned six pack and baby face. PERSONALITY: Adam is energetic, charming and charismatic. Kristina falls for him instantly. He can get whatever he wants with his looks and his charm. He persuades Kristina to do many of her “firsts” with him. He is a player and always has at least one girlfriend at a time. We are not sure if he is looking for love or just lust but we are pretty sure he is set on a road of addiction and destruction (just like his dad and brother). He is a high school drop out and spends most of his days getting high with his friends or his girls.

CHASE AGE:17 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This is Reno’s Bad Boy with freckles and the build of a line-backer. He is not necessarily hot (Mr. America) but he has glacier blue eyes and that rebellious look that appeals to Kristina/Bree. PERSONALITY: He might LOOK like a bad boy and even have some bad habits, but this guy is really quite sweet and intelligent! I mean, he spouts off poetry and really strives to do that right thing (though he is easily tempted). Chase wants to be with Kristina (sexually) but also seems to really love her deep down and wants to do right by her.

BRENDAN AGE:17 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Very attractive, tan and ripped lifeguard. He is hot and knows it! PERSONALITY: Brendan is arrogant, cocky, and manipulative. He will do whatever he wants to get what he wants (usually sex and drugs). He can be charming when he wants to but, at the end of the day, it is easy to see he is essentially dangerous and evil. He is basically Bree (with a penis).

Kristina’s Dad AGE: 50s PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Washed, up, ragged, grey, and old beyond his years. His eyes are red and watery. He reeks of B.O., cigarettes and booze. He looks like he has lived hard. PERSONALITY: Wandering, clueless and ignorant, K’s dad has no clue how to be a father nor does he want to learn how. He has ruined his marriage and ripped apart his family with his infidelity and drug abuse. He is a hopeless drug addict who works at a bowling alley whose only concern is how to get his next hit.

Mom (Marie), Step-Dad (Scott), Sister (Leigh) & Half- Brother (Jake) Marie and Scott are Kristina’s parents in Reno. They care But are somewhat Absent and thus Enable her behavior. Leigh is beautiful and gay. She is in college And K seems to be a bit Jealous of her and her relationship. Jake is spoiled and “stealing her spot” in the family.

Robyn (with Bree) Robyn is Bree’s ‘party friend’. She is older and even more wild and crazy than Bree with an even more intense addiction (she has been doing it longer). When Robyn and Bree are together, craziness will undoubtedly ensue!
