Essay 3

Directions: This essay, the third version of your research paper, is a chance to respond to the opponents of your thesis. Therefore, instead of your paper’s regular body, you will write at leas two rebuttal paragraphs instead. To be clear, that means that you will use your regular introduction and conclusion from Essay 2 (with corrections made), but the body will be at least two rebuttal paragraphs that argue against points that your opponents may bring up. This assignment, like our previous version of the paper, will need to be in MLA format with proper layout, in-text citations, and a works cited page. Since this is an in-class essay, you will need to finish this essay within the class time allotted. Also note that since this is an in-class essay, we will not be turning this in to turnitin.com. Keep this essay handy when you get it back because you will need it when you integrate the rebuttals with the rest of your paper in the next version of your research paper.
