First and second columns demonstrate changes in end-diastolic (ED) (first column) and end-systolic (ES) (second column) images as the slice location varies. Third column illustrates differences in PV loops obtained by imaging different slice locations. As the slices move from apex to base, there is increase in volume corresponding to rightward shift of PV loop. The load-independent measures obtained from preload occlusions at each slice location are shown in the rightmost column, with noticeable shift rightward and upward of end-systolic pressure-volume relation (ESPVR).
